My Story. My Mission.
Returning the sacred and natural to comfort care during life and death
As a nurse for nearly 40 years, I have witnessed and have been personally affected by the depersonalization and degradation of care in the healthcare and death care systems. The apathy and lack of compassion I've observed by those providing "care" has been alarming.

Additionally, the medicalization and encroachment of technology has had unforeseen and devastating consequences on our society. The sacred has been removed from care during life and death. It is my belief that we, as a collective people, are headed for the abyss-losing our humanity- unless things change.
​
This is one of the main reasons that I created this model of care: Sacred Comfort Care. For me, this is more than offering a natural approach to care. It's about starting a revival- a movement- of bringing the sacred and compassion back to care, removing the depersonalization, dehumanizing aspects of our culture of technology- as much as possible.

Jacki has had diverse experience that brings breadth and depth to everything she does. Her skills have been honed not only within the traditional medical system but also within the field of complementary and alternative medicine/therapy.

Jacki's work with the dying and their loved ones has been an incredible blessing, for they have served to help her become viscerally aware of the frailty of life and the sanctity of leave-taking.
